MAKER FAIRE MILWAUKEE IS PROUD TO INTRODUCE THE FIRST INDUSTRY, COLLEGE & CAREER EXCHANGE AT OUR 5TH ANNUAL FAIRE, SEPTEMBER 28-30, 2018 AT WISCONSIN STATE FAIR PARK.

Highlighting job skills for the future, new career and education paths related to Making, and the growing maker economy, the Industry, Career & College Exchange will offer activities throughout the weekend:

  • Special talks and hands-on demonstrations for high-school students from high-needs neighborhoods who will visit the Faire as part of Field Trip Friday;
  • Opportunities for Maker Faire’s 40,000 visitors – students, young talents, job-seekers and makers – to explore education and work opportunities related to making and the critical STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts and math) fields;
  • A unique, festival-style setting for companies, start ups, colleges and universities, trade organizations and others to build awareness about their organizations and programs; and
  • Saturday and Sunday presentations, discussions and workshops that highlight the growing impact of the global Maker Movement on higher education, workforce training, job creation and economic development.

Almost half of Americans already identify as being part of the growing global Maker Movement.
