Tom Hansen

Tom Hansen works as an IT consultant at the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences and is also a Ph.D. candidate there. He has worked as a computing professional for over 30 years, and has also performed semi-professionally as a violinist in a range of capacities. He was inspired by his work with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models to create the Immersive Fluid Flow Experience.

What inspired you to make this project?
I was inspired by my work with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in my graduate work, and also by the work of Scott Snibbe https://www.snibbe.com/ which I experienced when his work was exhibited at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
