William Capron Maker Picture

William Capron

From an early age, Will has been interested in knives and edged tools. Summer jobs in machining and manufacturing during college laid the foundation for his dive into knife making, first as a hobby and later as a profession. His approach to the craft might be described as a search for the perfect balance between art and science. He considers the knife, one of mankind's oldest and most versatile tools, to be an ideal canvas for blending aesthetics, performance, and human factors. In addition to his original designs, Will has also worked with wilderness survival instructors, martial arts practitioners, and fellow artisans to bring their own edged tool designs to fruition. He also enjoys sharing his skills and helping others discover the world of design and craftsmanship.
