Tesla Coils and High Voltage

Experimental, high voltage devices: Tesla coils including rotary spark gap, vacuum tube, and solid state coils, a ring launcher, Jacob's ladder, a Faraday cage, and a coin shrinker. We will share information and experience in between our popular Tesla coil shows on Saturday and Sunday.

Bob is your typical big dreams, short on time maker. Besides an interest in high voltage doomsday devices, Bob and his daughter like to work on props, steampunk costumes, and robots. Look for them wandering the Maker Faire grounds with a battle damaged R2 astromech droid.

Mike Hardy Maker Picture

Mike Hardy is an old school maker and has been doing crazy things with electricity since long before the internet made it fashionable. Mike does his best work in his home workshop after midnight and probably worries most of his neighbors. You'd think a 9 foot tall Tesla coil would be enough, but Mike is working on a 15 foot model.
