"Green Goat" live steam model railroading

Fabrication
This is an operating 1/8" scale model railroad engine of a "Green Goat." This is a scratch built engine, with components made from some very common items, as well as specialty items designed specifically for model railroading.

The original "Green Goat" engine was ordered for the Canadian Pacific Railroad, but they terminated the order before delivery. The engines were then resold.

I am a large scale model train geek. My day job is as a welder. My weekend hobby is trains. In addition to belonging to a railroad club, I am building a live steam train engine.

What inspired you to make this project?
I am obsessed with trains. This was a different engine than most modelers make.
