Caitlin Driver

Caitlin Marie Driver is a New Media artist, jewelry designer, design consultant, and healer living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 2011 she received her BFA in jewelry and metalsmithing and is currently working toward an MFA in Digital Fabrication and Design at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In the studio, her current body of work encompasses the creation of interactive objects and installations that speculate about human connectedness and the dynamics of mediated interpersonal relationships. For the past several years, Caitlin has been focusing her research on mindfulness, meditation, and bio-field physiology. Through that research, she has found an interest in how we come to understand ourselves in relation to the universe. “I intentionally create objects and relationships that invite the viewer to contemplate their perception of experience, and how it relates to others within space.” Caitlin’s work has been shown locally at the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts. Recently, one of her interactive object designs won the Student Start-Up Challenge, a National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance sponsored contest. In addition to her art practice, Caitlin has worked as a collaborative curator for local exhibitions, teaches workshops, has taught at the University of Wisconsin, and currently she the owner of Pure Wholistic Alchemy, LLC, a spiritually-based business in which she consults on design, creates jewelry, and facilitates Reiki and Sound Healing sessions for individuals and groups.
