What inspired you to make this project?
The Makerspace was established after a renovation at the library in January of 2017. We previously had many hands-on activities in our library, but did not have them organized in one space. The renovation allowed us to do that.

The projects we are proposing are either workshops taken from the 2018 DREAM convention (a free STEAM-based convention open to middle and high school students, organized and presented by students in the Imaginative Fiction student organization at MATC), and a brainstorming session of the Makerspace staff to rework a project from the convention that would be appropriate not only for younger children to complete, but engaging for adults, so that we had a hands-on take-away project accessible to a wide range of participants.
