Michael Fortuna

Michael Fortuna is an Architect and fine woodworker, involved with furniture since his apprentice as a teenager. After Lawrence University and careers in music, professional stage design, and historic restoration, he completed a Masters in Architecture at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning. For over 25 years Mr. Fortuna has designed award winning contemporary buildings in and around Milwaukee. And many of his custom residences exhibit rich wood interiors with a modern flare. This experience has led to inspired furniture designs replete with a modern vocabulary, structure and craft. Utilizing new and reclaimed Wisconsin hardwoods, his unique vision on how to exhibit the grain and warmth turn ordinary boards into distinguished works of form and function. Recently, his new designs have sparked an east coast market. And, just as his work has served Milwaukee patrons for many years, he is looking forward to a new generation who share a passion for fine hardwood furniture. Hand crafted creations that will last generations.
