Tom Hansen

Tom Hansen works as an IT consultant at the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences and is also a Ph.D. candidate there. He has worked as a computing professional for over 30 years, and has also performed semi-professionally as a violinist in a range of capacities. He was inspired by his graduate work with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models to create the Immersive Fluid Flow Experience. He is currently completing his dissertation, entitled "An Experimental Study Using a Deep Neural Network to Infer Water Current Speed by Analysis of Induced Vibrations of an In-Situ Bluff Body."
