Fiber Art Guilds
Fiber Art Guild members and fiber artists from Wisconsin and Northern Illinois will demonstrate needlepoint, embroidery, beading, smocking, quilting, knitting, tatting and crochet throughout the event.
Saturday:
10am to 4pm - ABK Weaving Center will be demonstrating weaving, spinning and bobbin lace making. The Greater Milwaukee Knitting Guild will be demonstrating knitting.
2pm to 7pm - Needlepoint/Embroidery demonstrations from the American Needlepoint Guild.
Sunday:
Heidi Parkes, a quilter, and Lisa Bingley who quilts and does bead embroidery will be there. Larissa from Wooly Baa Baa Yarns will demonstrate knitting.
2pm to 5pm - Marilee Rockley, a tatting designer, will demonstrate tatting and show how she combines this old technique with wire wrapping, beads, and crystals, to make contemporary jewelry.

Jenny has been making things with a needle and thread since she was five years old. She enjoys the magic of creating beautiful and functional things out of thread or yarn and fabric.

What inspired you to make this project?
I think it is a great opportunity for people who enjoy and are good at fiber work to connect with younger people. It is also an opportunity to show high quality handmade work and to showcase some older crafts like tatting.
