Wrist Mounted Flamethrower, RC Submarine, and Robotic Bird

Robotics
Interact with fire, water, and air!
My wrist mounted flamethrower launches fire from your arm.
My submarine swims beneath the waves and can explore the seafloor.
My robotic bird flaps its motor powered wings to soar among the clouds.

Jonathan Siskind

I am Jonathan Siskind, a 17 year old Maker from West Lafayette, Indiana! This is my second Maker Faire, and I am so excited to present! From a young age, I have always loved tinkering and building with my hands. It began with Legos when I was little, and now that passion has progressed to building submarines and flamethrowers! Outside of school and tinkering, I am also president of my high school's state-winning debate team, vice president of the FRC robotics team 461 "Westside Boiler Invasion", and president of my school's physics club. I also have played alto saxophone in the All-State band. In university next year, I am interested in pursuing engineering, specifically mechanical or electrical.

What inspired you to make this project?
I have always been exposed to the engineering/building community for my entire life. Both my parents are engineers. I have participated in FIRST robotics since 4th grade, and my robotics team has participated at the Worlds Tournament in Detroit. I also love watching other makers/creators on Youtube such as Mark Rober, the Hacksmith, Allen Pan, Colin Furze, and JLaserVideo. They are some of my greatest inspirations, and many of my project ideas and inspiration have come from their previous work.
