Meet Heavy Meta, a 30′ long, 19′ tall fire-breathing dragon art car from Toronto, Canada. Heavy Meta will help kick off the Faire – and our new Friday Preview Party (5 pm to 9 pm) – in the Back 40 (Gate 4 and 84th Street). What else do we have planned?  So glad you asked!

• Catch some of Milwaukee’s young music talents on Main Street in front of the Expo Center from 5 pm to 8 pm, presented by FREESPACE;
• Radio Milwaukee DJ Tarik Moody will host a set in the Back 40 at 7:30;
• Back by popular demand – Rat Patrol Bikes!
• Power Racing Series exhibition races; and
• Maker Faire Milwaukee’s Handmade Marketplace will also be open on Friday from 5 pm to 9 pm in Expo Hall A – more than 30 makers will be exhibiting and selling their work.

All indoor and outdoor exhibits will open on Saturday morning at 10 am.
